“MORE THAN JUST ELEMENTARY”

Do you have to be Catholic to attend St. Patrick’s School?

No! We welcome children of all faiths and there are currently many non-Catholic students enrolled at St. Patrick’s. Families of any faith who want their child to excel academically in a Christian environment should consider St. Patrick’s. Our students learn about Christ, and we strive to live what we learn.

Can only families who live in Oneida attend St. Patrick’s School?

No, we welcome students from throughout Madison and Oneida counties!  For students enrolled by April 1, we can arrange bus transportation through your home school district within the transportation radius.

What grades do you offer?

St. Patrick’s is an elementary school accepting students from Pre-K  through sixth grade. All of our programs are full-day program, with the option of half days in PK3 and 4. We feel that it is important to offer a flexible schedule so that you can choose the best option for your family.

Is your Pre-K for four-year-olds only?

No, as a private school we have more flexibility with our Pre-K, so we accept children ages 3, 4 and 5 into our Pre-K Program.  We have both half-day and full-day programs to best meet your child’s individual needs.

Will my child learn in Pre-K or is it more of a day care center?

Your young child will learn in our Pre-K! Our program is a true academic program where young children learn early reading and math skills that prepare them well for Kindergarten.

My child is in the fourth grade at a public school and is not doing well. Can we transfer him to St. Patrick’s?

We do accept and warmly welcome transfer students.  Most children who transfer to St. Patrick’s flourish in our loving, but structured environment and small class sizes that provide the individual attention they need and deserve.

We’re not wealthy, we’re not sure if we can afford a private school.

At St. Patrick’s we strive to keep education affordable to every family who wants a Catholic School education. There are tuition assistance programs and scholarships available for our Pre-K through Grade 6 programs. We firmly believe that no child should be denied an education at St. Patrick’s because a family cannot afford tuition, so we will work with you to find the assistance you need.

Are your teachers state certified?

Yes, all of our classroom teachers are NYS certified and specialize in elementary education! We have an outstanding faculty who truly care about their students and provide individual attention.

Is it true that you offer Spanish?

Yes, we offer Spanish to all of our students in grades Pre-K 4 through sixth grade.

I want my child to do well academically. Can St. Patrick’s School provide that?

Yes. Our students do exceptionally well on the state mandated tests and go on to do extremely well in middle and high school. Many of our students go on to be the valedictorian or salutatorian of their high schools. We credit our exceptional reading instruction and small class sizes. We also provide Academic Intervention Services (AIS) to students who qualify to give them a boost in ELA and Math. Our AIS teacher is state certified in Elementary Education and provides students with the support they need to be successful.
